Specializing in classic diner fare with a generous twist of comfort and variety, Oakwood Diner serves up hearty breakfast favorites alongside well-crafted lunch and dinner options that reflect a warm, inviting atmosphere loved by neighborhood regulars and visitors alike.

Step inside, and you'll immediately sense the nostalgic charm mixed with a relaxed, welcoming vibe—a quiet respite from the bustling city life, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the sizzle of eggs and bacon on the grill. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated, boasting crowd-pleasers such as the Two Eggs Over Easy with Bacon and Home Fries, the rich and savory French Onion Soup, and the vegetable omelette that bursts with garden-fresh flavors. For those seeking something more indulgent, the Banana Split or Ice Cream provide sweet and satisfying finales to your meal.

Breakfast devotees will find themselves spoilt for choice with Oakwood’s standout breakfast wraps. The Egg White and Turkey Bacon Wrap, wrapped in wholesome whole wheat and served with a fresh fruit salad or creamy cottage cheese, is a wholesome yet flavorful way to start the day. Meanwhile, hearty options like the Western Scrambler Wrap and the Scrambled Guacamole Egg Wrap introduce layers of savory goodness and fresh, vibrant elements like guacamole and salsa, creating a delightful balance of tastes and textures.

Imagine biting into a Toasted Bagel with Nova Scotia Lox and Cream Cheese—a perfect marriage of smoky and creamy that’s freshened by crisp lettuce and tomato. The Bagel All The Way—a vivid, colorful plate brimming with lox, cream cheese, olives, and red onion—is an exquisite way to savor a New York staple elevated by Oakwood’s attention to quality and detail.

But it isn't just the food that leaves a lasting impression. As one customer, Kyle McCarthy, describes, the diner’s “local charm” shines through in every corner and every bite, offering a comforting alternative to the busier Manhattan Greek diners while maintaining an undeniably authentic feel. Brendan Kane praises the generous portion sizes and exceptional coffee that perfectly complement his perfectly crispy bacon and fluffy pancakes, making each visit feel like a well-deserved treat.

Service at Oakwood shows its heart too. Despite some mentions of a slower pace by patrons like Patrick Laine, the attentive staff’s genuine care and friendliness create a relaxing, unhurried dining experience where each guest feels valued. Cynthia Chang’s story highlights their honesty and kindness when she left her AirPods behind, reflecting the community spirit embedded in every interaction.

Oakwood Diner’s menu also celebrates diverse tastes with delights such as the Souvlaki with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, or the Swiss Mushroom Burger Deluxe—each dish crafted with care and full-bodied flavors. For those craving a comforting sandwich, the Chicken Parmigiana Panini with fries or the Roumanian Steak Quesadilla offer satisfying options that fuse classic diner comfort with a global flair.

Whether you are in the mood for a nourishing Healthy Breakfast Wrap, the wholesomeness of Whole Wheat Belgian Waffles, or a comforting serving of Fried Chicken, Oakwood Diner delivers it all with flair and warmth. Its rich variety, thoughtful menu, and homestyle preparation invite you to slow down and savor each moment—be it a quick bite or a leisurely meal with loved ones.

From the first sip of freshly brewed coffee to the last bite of its signature dishes, Oakwood Diner combines generous portions, authentic flavors, and sincere hospitality to create an experience that resonates deeply with everyone who walks through its doors. Classic all-American diner in a quiet Staten Island mini-mall. The photo menu was so large that I could hardly lift it. Did not feel like the Manhattan Greek diners but had lots of local charm. We enjoyed a vegetable omelette with home fries and English muffins, and a "healthy" egg and turkey bacon wrap, fruit salad. Good coffee, constant refills, chocolate chip covered large cookies in the bakery display, pages of sandwich options and hot entrees at dinner. Obviously gets locals and repeat diners. Well priced and large portions. A keeper....

Excellent food, in my opinion best diner on the island - But potentially in the running for slowest waiter staff! Keep that in mind

Saw this place for years and finally went in just recently. Nice place, bigger than I thought. The food portions are very big as well. Breakfast food was excellent. Very good pancakes. Crispy bacon. Very good coffee too. It's not inexpensive, but I guess nothing is these days. Thanks Obama.

They are angels at this place! I didn’t know that my AirPods fell out of my bag and was able to trace it back to them ! They kept them for me !!! Thankfully Also, by the way, their brunch was super delicious!! We had the spanakopita appetizer which was super delicious. It came with salad and a tzatziki yogurt dip, which made it even more super delicious! I had an eggs Benedict Florentine with hashbrowns and my partner had a souvlaki plate. Everything was very fresh and the service was excellent! I can’t wait to try their waffles next time my partner says they’re outstanding

Stumbled on this amazing place on a day comfort food was greatly needed. Buried my Uncle at the cemetery nearby. My cousins and I met there by accident after and was treated to lunch. Let me tell you. I felt like the clock had been turned back to the late 70's early 80's by the food and the service. Unbeatable service. The unlimited beets and bean salad and pickles were just what we needed after not eating for hours. The dishes were on point and although I didn't pay, my cousin did, the prices were reasonable. This was a meal that was filled with love and sadness, but the food, and experience certainly helped on such a sad day. Thank you all for being so kind and keeping the spirit of real diners alive.
